Team Mates
Team Mates is a 24-week positive psychology group intervention aimed at children and young people who may be at greater risk in developing poor mental health in their adolescent years

Thanks to funding from the Premier League and Professional Footballers Association the Team Mates programme brings together small groups of eight, children and young people to learn through games, using social skills development as an effective tool to build up their protective barrier against poor mental health. Furthermore, worksheets, student-led discussions and group activities allow children and young people to reflect on experiences and create positive coping strategies all under a safe and comfortable environment.
Palace for Life staff also spends two days a week in their respective secondary schools of which the primaries feed in to. They spend the day delivering small group intervention sessions, one-to-one mentoring, and operating a peer-to-peer mentoring scheme.
Team Mates is open to KS2 and KS3 students who are at greater risk of developing poor mental health with all sessions delivered on the school site.
