Getting yourself ready for your first job if you’re not in education or employment

This is what our flagship employability programme, called GAME ON, is all about at Palace for Life. Our programmes are designed to help those of you who require the most help, specifically those who are not in education or employment.

We know how tough it can be to find your first job, let alone have the required experience to ace your first interview.

This is what our flagship employability programme, called GAME ON, is all about at Palace for Life.

Our programmes are designed to help those of you who require the most help, specifically those who are not in education or employment – as it’s our mission support those furthest from the job market towards work readiness.

We work specifically with young south Londoners in a range of different ways, which you can learn more about below.

GAME ON

Our standout programme, GAME ON, offers the guidance, training and practical skills needed to help you take the next steps in your career. It’s open to young people aged 16-25 years old and runs at Selhurst Park, the state-of-the-art Crystal Palace Academy and in the local community.

When you sign up to GAME ON you will be assigned your very own Palace for Life coach who will chat with you about your goals and help you plan your pathway.

There are three ways you can get involved in GAME ON:

  • Skills for Life course – our core employment programme which covers a broad range of fundamental employment skills
  • ‘Kick Off to…’ short courses – for those wanting qualifications to get into specific industries
  • Industry Insights & Trips – real-life industry experiences, networking opportunities and professional advice

Each individual journey is different. But in a nutshell, under the direction of our staff and industry experts, you can expect to better understand the right path to get into your industry of choice.

It’s important to know you are not alone in trying to work out your future – and there is support to guide you onto a positive pathway.
