Train for the Marathon March at the Palace Academy

If you're taking part in the Marathon March this year and want to get training, or just want to play more football, then you can come along to our adult football sessions held at the Crystal Palace Academy every Thursday evening.

Our new free-of-charge adult football hub is now being held at the Crystal Palace Academy dome every Thursday evening from 8:15 pm – 9:30 pm.

We run three weekly football sessions at the state-of-the-art facility: Men’s Walking Football, Women’s Walking Football and Women’s Recreational football.

The Walking football sessions are aimed at, but not limited to, those 30 +, and Recreational football is for those 18+. All sessions are designed so that all abilities can participate whether you have never played before, currently play, or have found it more challenging to play due to injury or health.

Players join the sessions for many reasons such as: to meet people, pre-diabetic diagnosis, improve overall fitness and improve their mental health conditions amongst many other reasons.

If you’re taking part in the Marathon March on the 14th October, our adult football sessions are a great way to train, meet fellow Palace fans and you can even fundraise as a team!

A 26.2 mile is no easy challenge. Our adult health sessions should set you in good stead to take on the March. It’s not every day you get to play the best game in the world in a state of the art academy and at the same time you can improve your overall fitness, stay on top of your mental health, and of course, play football!

There is no need to book for any of the sessions, just turn up!

WALKING FOOTBALL (MEN & WOMEN)

The walking version of the beautiful game is designed to help maintain an active lifestyle in a social and fun atmosphere. It’s a non-contact version of the sport which is usually played on five or six aside pitches.

We offer Walking Football for both men and women, but the sessions are delivered separately. Both teams have the opportunity to organise competitive fixtures and often play in tournaments, but this is just optional for players who might want to play more competitive football.

WOMEN’S RECREATIONAL FOOTBALL

Women’s Recreational football is a slightly faster-paced version of the game, open to Women aged 18 + who want to get more active and play more football in a safe and comfortable environment.

Every Thursday from 8:15 pm – 9: 30 pm.

WHERE?
