Palace for Life to host FA Talent Day

Palace for Life Foundation and Surrey FA are offering keen footballers with specific impairments the chance to learn new football skills with the aim of becoming future England internationals.

The Football Association hold England Football Talent Days around the country each season for players to receive expertise coaching with support finding a grassroots team or identify a future Three Lions Para Footballer.

The event will run on Sunday 20 April from 10am to 1pm at the Crystal Palace National Sports Centre (CPNSC), Ledrington Road, SE19 2BB, for 7-11 years old and 12-16 years who have one of the following impairments: Amputee, Blind, Cerebral Palsy, Deaf and Partially Sighted.

The day will include an introduction from the FA Disability Talent Team and a presentation from GB Paralympic and England Blind Football Star Darren Harris, who has 145 England Camp and eight European and one World Medal. Following on from the presentation will be a two-hour football session at CPSNC Indoor 3G Dome, which will consist of football activities and matches.

After the Talent Day, players will be signposted to either a grassroots or impairment specific team local to them, or invited to join the FA Regional Emerging Disability Talent Programme.

Should you wish to attend the England Talent Day or know any suitable players, please download the register form and return to our Disability Officer Keon Richardson on email keonrichardson@palaceforlife.org or call 075 2222 5373 for more information
