Utilita Powers Palace for Life Foundation's Marathon March

The Palace for Life Foundation is delighted to announce that Utilita Energy has today become the headline sponsor for the Marathon March taking place on Saturday 7th October.

The Marathon March powered by Utilita, is a 26.2 mile walk from Selhurst Park to central London, via Richmond Park, raising money to support young people across South London. More than 100 Palace fans are taking part in the event, which is being led by Palace legends Andy Johnson and Andy Gray.

The walk will take in famous London landmarks, such as Big Ben and the London Eye, finishing at Admiralty Arch on Sunday evening. The walkers hope to raise £40,000 for projects to help young south Londoners and Utilita Energy will provide all participants with a specially designed t-shirt.

Utilita is the fastest growing supplier in the UK, celebrating its 500,000th customer in April and in July, reached a million supply points across the UK. It has also launched into the Business Energy sector – giving Britain’s micro-businesses a better, fairer deal.

Mike Summers, CEO at Palace for Life Foundation, said:

“We are delighted that Utilita will be joining us on our Marathon March, which is the highlight of the Palace for Life Calendar. It’s really captured the imagination of the wider CPFC Community and we are all very excited. Utilita are used to powering people all over the UK, and for them to ‘power’ this event means that, with their support, we will have a direct impact delivering our mission to help young South Londoners grow through sport.”

Jem Maidment, Head of Marketing & Communications, Utilita Energy, said:

“The Marathon March is a fantastic initiative as part of the wider Palace for Life Foundation calendar. We have a brilliant relationship with Crystal Palace and love the close relationship it has with the South London community so we consider it an honour to play our part. Good luck to every single person taking part!”
