NCS encourages south London teens to ‘Keep Doing Good’

Palace for Life’s NCS team will be delivering a free post-lockdown programme to help young people in south London develop new skills, create positive change and have fun!

For many people, Life has been on hold for the past few months, but Palace for Life’s NCS team is giving young people a new opportunity and the chance to look back on this year and feel proud.

‘Keep Doing Good’ is a new free programme that is aimed at young people aged between 15-17 and will run this August as part of Palace for Life’s Summer Extravaganza.

The programme will offer young people the chance to get outside, meet new friends, and develop their skills and confidence by taking part in a series of workshops. Most importantly, they will give back, with a whole week devoted to community work which will give them the chance to make a positive change in their community. Working with local charities, young people on NCS can contribute to building their local communities in south London, and the well-being of citizens within it.

Adrianna, an NCS Graduate, said: “NCS is about taking every opportunity to better yourself, and the programme is one way you can do this. You will surprise yourself with how much you’ll learn, and I know I did.

“NCS has helped me to become more independent and open-minded; it helps to build on your strengths and improve your weaker skills. All while preparing you for Life beyond sixth form or college.”

Palace for Life will be delivering two, two-week programmes in August:

Week 1 – Team Building, Skills Development Workshops and Social Action Project Preparation
Week 2 – Social Action Project (Weekdays, minimum of 16hrs)

Location: Selhurst Park Stadium, SE25 6PU

  • Wave 1 – 03/08/2020- 14/08/2020
