Andy Johnson to lead March

Save the date! As the Palace for Life Foundation look to increase fundraising efforts, for the first time ever we’re launching a marathon march led by Palace legend Andy Johnson.

On Saturday 7th October (don’t worry Palace don’t have a game) we’re inviting you to join us in a 26.2 mile marathon march from Selhurst Park to central London, via Wimbledon Common, Richmond Park and the River Thames. View the route map and some training tips here. This is a non-competitive, social yet highly challenging event and money raised will help us to do more to support young people across south London.

Palace legend Andy Johnson is looking forward to being part of this event and said:
“I’ve never walked this far before but I’m excited to give it a go and expect this to be an enjoyable yet demanding challenge. The Palace for Life Foundation does such great work for young people in south London and together we can raise lots of money to help the most vulnerable.”

Walk-Trainer

It’s not a race, we’ll all walk together as a Palace team to support the Palace for Life Foundation. Registration fee is £25 and you’ll commit to raise £300 each in sponsorship. Everyone who raises £300 will get their name on our roll of honour here. A breakfast bite at the stadium, a hearty lunch, morning and afternoon snacks and sandwiches at the finish line pub are all included, as well as a Palace for Life t-shirt and full first aid support.

Two shorter alternative routes are available with one starting from Selhurst to Kew Bridge (16.2 miles) and the other from Kew Bridge to Trafalgar Square (10 miles).

Every fundraiser that reaches their £300 target will get their name in the match day programme and all walkers will be part of the team photo from inside Selhurst Park on the morning of the walk.

Spaces are limited so we urge you to register early in order to avoid disappointment. Upon registration we will send you training tips and guidance on how to make the most of your fundraising efforts.

If you’re unable to participate in our Palace for Life Marathon March but would like to donate towards fundraising for the campaign, please click here and donate through the blue button.
