PALACE FOR LIFE MARATHON MARCH 2022

What's going on today?

What’s going on?

Over 150 Palace fans are today embarking on a 26.2 mile walk around south London to raise vital funds for Palace for Life – the official charity of Crystal Palace F.C.

What is Palace for Life?

Palace for Life Foundation has been working with the south London community for over 25 years. We exist to leverage the power of football and the Crystal Palace F.C. brand to change the lives of young people across south London, particularly the most hard-to-reach and hard-to-help.

We work with over 14,000 people each year, inspiring them to find a better path and to lead a healthier life. We cover a broad spectrum, from football sessions for young people with a disability, to delivering engaging assemblies and workshops in local schools and colleges. Targeting young people in areas of deprivation, we offer free sessions in sport and other activities, alongside pastoral support, to instil positive values and help prepare our participants for a better life. We have strong connections within the local community and businesses and run programmes designed to equip young people with the skills they need to start thinking about their future careers.

What happens at the Marathon March?

Now in its sixth year, the Marathon March aims to raise funds to help young people in our community. It’s not a competitive event, it’s a social one. Participants get the opportunity to walk the marathon at their own pace, talk Palace, meet new friends and cross the line together – all whilst raising money for Palace for Life.
