We take the health and welfare of everyone who attends our sessions, as well as our staff and volunteers, extremely seriously and that remains our priority.
At present, Palace for Life Foundation sessions that are run in schools will be continuing for the children of key workers, but with increased precautions to prevent the spread of coronavirus, these include:
- Staff washing their hands and using hand sanitiser regularly
- Children being asked to wash their hands or use hand sanitiser at the start and end of all sessions
- No handshakes or unnecessary physical contact
We are also continuing to prepare for this summer’s NCS programme, which is due to start in June.
Palace for Life Foundation Chief Executive Mike Summers said: “This is a worrying time for everyone and while we are disappointed to cancel our sessions, we must prioritise the wellbeing of the people we work with and of our staff. We also all have a responsibility to do our bit to prevent the further spread of coronavirus.
“Palace for Life Foundation and Crystal Palace F.C. are committed to working closely with our local partners to offer whatever support we can to the community at this time. Where possible we will run sessions online and share guidance and support through our website and social media channels.”
