Palace for Life Marathon March to showcase the FA Cup & the Community Shield
This year’s Marathon March, sponsored by Brooks Running, will be one to remember, as walkers who complete the 26.2 mile route will be greeted at Selhurst Park by the Emirates FA Cup and the Community Shield, fresh from Palace’s historic triumphs at Wembley.
When participants cross the finish line at Selhurst Park on Saturday 11 October, they’ll be welcomed in true Palace style, with the chance to see and get photos with football’s most iconic trophies: the FA Cup & the Community Shield.
After Crystal Palace’s historic 1-0 victory over Manchester City in May, lifting the FA Cup for the very first time, it felt only fitting to share the trophy with everyone taking part in this year’s Marathon March, a celebration of both Palace’s historic year and community spirit.
And after Palace’s second Wembley triumph in just three months, we’re thrilled to announce that the Community Shield will also be on display at this year’s Marathon March!
Now in its ninth year, the Marathon March continues to raise vital funds that enable Palace for Life to support thousands of young people across south London.

Each year, hundreds of Palace fans and Foundation supporters come together to take on the 26.2 mile route through the capital, united by a love of Palace and a commitment to their community.
This year’s route promises to be a little flatter and friendlier on the legs, but still packed with the unmistakable south London spirit that makes the event so special.
The addition of the FA Cup & the Community Shield makes this year’s March even more memorable, giving supporters a unique opportunity to celebrate their achievement alongside a piece of Palace history.
Every step taken and every pound raised goes directly towards Palace for Life’s life-changing programmes, from grassroots football sessions to mentoring, training and education, helping young people across south London to thrive.
