Powerchair Football

The Powerchair Football programme is a fast-moving indoor game played in a four-a-side format. Players range from eight years and over. Did you know that it is one of the only forms of football where both male and female players can play together? We offer people who wouldn’t otherwise be able to play any form of football the opportunity to be part of Palace.

What?

Fun and lively weekly training sessions in powered sports wheelchairs held on Wednesday evening at the Waddon Leisure Centre. Focus is on improving chair mobility, control and movement whist travelling around the pitch, ball control, passing, team work and match tactics.

Sessions finish with a game where all players get the opportunity to show what they can do!

All players who come along get the opportunity to play for the Crystal Palace Powerchair Football Team in the Wheelchair FA’s South East Regional League.

The powerchair football club has provided a much-needed break and distraction from the difficult realities of our son’s condition. He has grown in confidence, made new friends and developed his team working skills. He looks forward to every session with a great, big smile on his face and is proud to be a member of the team!
