Ladies earn their FA Level 1

The Palace for Life foundation has delivered a ‘Female only’ FA Level 1 through the Premier League Girls programme collaboration with Surrey FA. The programme is part of our Premier League funded Women & Girls coach education programme. This was the first ever Female Only Level 1 to be delivered in Surrey that followed the new course curriculum.

Age 17 and upwards, our 14 female coaches who completed the course had vast experience of a number of sectors. The ladies careers include CPFC Ladies players, teachers, police officers, students, and those who have never experienced the game as a player or coach.

Amy Price, FA Coach Mentor – Surrey said:
“It was a pleasure to be involved in the start of their coaching journey. Roxanne at Palace for Life has done a superb job in recruiting a group of enthusiastic and promising female coaches.I’m really excited for the Foundation’s plans to track the ongoing journey of these newly qualified female coaches. I hope to see first-hand how these coaches will inspire other females to get involved in the game”.

The Palace for Life foundation will continue to work with the group and look to involve them in a wide variety of CPFC coaching courses, to help further their development as coaches in the community and grassroots game.We are excited that we are able to work with a new group of female coaches who will help develop the female football development plan for Palace for Life Foundation.

Roxanne Bennett, Palace for Life Foundation sports development officer is keen to help further develop our new coaches:
“I’m really looking forward to working with the coaches. They will play a key role in raising the profile of the female game and will be great role models to the 5-11 year olds who are starting out in football.”
