Five Year Plan fanzine co-founder joins PlayMakers
Andy Street, the co-founder of popular Crystal Palace fanzine the Five Year Plan podcast, is the latest CPFC fan to sign up for Palace for Life Foundation’s PlayMakers programme.
The PlayMakers initiative involves Palace supporters using their skills and experience to improve the lives of young people in south London – including delivering presentations in schools, providing work experience opportunities, and mentoring.
A solicitor at Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner, Andy works as a litigator with a specialism in sports law cases, and has acted for numerous international footballers. He was keen to sign up following an interview with the Foundation’s Community Development Director, Soye Briggs, on the Five Year Plan podcast earlier this year.
On becoming a PlayMaker, Andy said:
“I’m an avid Palace fan and also a proud south Londoner, so I’m looking forward to giving my time to the Foundation’s many wonderful programmes.”
Andy will get involved with the Foundation’s schools programmes, speaking to local children about his experiences at school and how it shaped his future.
35 fans have already signed up to be PlayMakers, with a target of 100 set for next year. For more information about the programme, or if you are interested in becoming a PlayMaker, please contact DonaldForde@palaceforlife.org
