WATCH: Biscuit choices & bolognese - Rob Holding answers all
Having joined the likes of Jefferson Lerma, Matheus França, and Dean Henderson as the Eagles' latest summer signing, defender Rob Holding is known for his versatility in the back line but the real test awaited as he stepped into the hot seat to face a grilling from young south London school pupils.
Having already played over 200 games in his career so far, including 2 FA Cup wins and 3 Community Shield victories, new Palace recruit Rob Holding is no stranger to post-match press conferences, but how did he fare in a quick-fire Q&A with a group of Year 3 students?
In a recent visit to Tweeddale Primary School in Sutton, Holding was put on the spot as students fired away with their burning inquiries. From vital food and colour preferences to favourite school subjects and even the ultimate conundrum – “What’s your favourite biscuit?” – no question was off limits in this test.
After the Q&A, Holding reflected on his visit to Tweeddale:
“It’s been really enjoyable, the kids were great and had some really good questions, even one about biscuits! They were great and I hope they enjoyed it as well.
As a new signing for Palace, it’s good to get your face out there for new fans and to let people know who I am as a person, and not just a footballer. It’s nice to do these things in the community and to help out where I can.”
