Support our Marathon Marchers!

Our ninth annual Marathon March is taking place on Saturday, 11th October, raising money to help transform the lives of young South Londoners.

The Marathon March starts and finishes at Selhurst Park, the home of the FA Cup & Community Shield winners; and at the finish line, participants will get to see and take pictures with the two prestigious trophies!

After this, Marchers will conclude their Marathon March with a glorious lap of the pitch, before enjoying a Palace-themed party at the ground.

Joining us this year are a few Palace legends: Mark Bright, Andrew Johnson, and Fliss Gibbons, alongside Marathon March stalwarts Satchi & Matthew.

If you’re not taking one of the 200-plus participants in the Marathon March this year, you can support our Marchers with a donation, helping us to reach thousands more South Londoners in need.

Find out how you can still get involved, and donate, below!

How much has been raised?

So far, our Marchers have raised a grand total of…

£27,258

As of 09:00 BST on Wednesday, 1st October.

Last year, we set an all-time Marathon March record of over £102,000 raised – so help us keep heading towards that by donating now!

What’s it all about?

Each year, the Marathon March brings together Palace fans, legends and supporters to generate funds for a variety of our inspiring projects and causes.

It’s a marathon, but instead of running, we walk, talk, and make new friends and connections on the way.

Since 2016, Palace fans have raised over half a million pounds for young people across our community. With a whopping number of participants last year – 220 – and money raised – £90,000 – we need your help to make it even bigger for 2025.

Of course, there’s no better way to get a real insight into the Marathon March than by viewing the highlights from last year’s event…

When and where does it take place?

When participants cross the finish line at Selhurst Park on Saturday 11 October, they’ll be welcomed in true Palace style, with the chance to see and get photos with football’s most iconic trophies: the FA Cup & the Community Shield.

Where does the March go?

This year’s March will feature familiar landmarks like Battersea Bridge and the Power Station, and is flatter, friendlier on the legs, but there’s no escaping the final push back up to Selhurst Park (don’t worry the celebrations will be worth it!)

Take a look a the route on Maps, here.

Who is taking part?

Over 220 members of the Crystal Palace community are set to take part, including returning club legends, Mark Bright and AJ!

And new to this year, former Palace Women’s player, Fliss Gibbons will be taking part. After joining Crystal Palace in 2022, Fliss became an instrumental figure in the Women’s Championship. In the 2023-24 season, she led the league in assists (eight in total), helping secure Palace’s historic promotion to the Women’s Super League for the first time. Having completed an amazing run with Palace, including winning the PFA Community Champion, Fliss announced her retirement at the end of the 2024-25 season, but is returning to support our work in the community.

What do participants get?

As well as completing a personal challenge, participants will also receive a Marathon March T-shirt and finishers’ medal.

What’s more, a special Marathon March menu, breakfast, lunch and dinner, will be keeping fuelled those taking on the challenge.

Most importantly, however, all participants have committed to raising a minimum of £300 each in sponsorship, and so will be taking part having already made a massive difference to a range of good causes.

How can I get involved?
