Saints Foundation to join Bike to Southampton
Palace for Life have teamed up with Saints Foundation for the Bike to Southampton challenge, cycling together from Selhurst Park to St. Mary’s Stadium.
Palace for Life are pleased to partner with Saints Foundation for the upcoming Bike to Southampton fundraiser. The partnership will see rivalries put aside as Palace fans will be joined by their Southampton counterparts in taking on the 100-mile cycle challenge over the 29th & 30th April 2022*.
The two sets of fans will be setting off together from Selhurst Park and heading south to an overnight hotel stay near the Saints’ city neighbours, Portsmouth. The riders will continue on to Southampton the next morning arriving in time for a shower, using The Gym Group Southampton’s facilities, ahead of cheering on their team at St. Mary’s Stadium.
The cycling event is open to all abilities and is not a race, where the primary aim for Palace fans taking part is to raise vital funds for Palace for Life. The previous edition, Bike to Bournemouth, saw 28 Crystal Palace fans raise more than £15,000 for the Foundation.
We anticipate that bringing together supporters from both clubs will naturally lead to some friendly competitiveness, pushing riders to see who can raise more funds for their respective Foundations. This added fundraising incentive will see the local communities of the two foundations benefit, with the money raised directly supporting our work in south London.

It’s a brilliant opportunity to show the power that football has in bringing people together, and who doesn’t love a bit of friendly competition!”

The registration fee is £150 and includes:
- 1-night hotel accommodation
- A bespoke Palace themed cycling jersey
- 2x lunch, 1x dinner and 1x breakfast
- 1x free match ticket in the away end
- Professional support throughout the cycle
- Transport back from St Mary’s Stadium to Selhurst Park
To take part, each cyclist will pledge to raise a minimum of £500 for Palace for Life Foundation, helping to support our work with young south Londoners and to aspire to give them brighter futures.
