Palace heroes return for the 2025 Marathon March
The Palace family is coming together for our ninth Marathon March, and we’re thrilled to announce and welcome AJ, Brighty and Fliss Gibbons to walk by your side.
2025 has been a historic year for Palace on the pitch, and it’s set to be a historic year off it too, as we celebrate our ninth Marathon March.
We’re excited to announce that Palace legends, former strikers and Palace for Life Patrons, Andrew Johnson and Mark Bright, will be joining us on Saturday 11 October 2025.
And that’s not all! We’re also delighted to welcome Fliss Gibbons, former Palace Women’s player, who will be taking part in the March too.

After joining Crystal Palace in 2022, Fliss became an instrumental figure in the Women’s Championship. In the 2023-24 season, she led the league in assists (eight in total), helping secure Palace’s historic promotion to the Women’s Super League for the first time. Having completed an amazing run with Palace, including winning the PFA Community Champion, Fliss announced her retirement at the end of the 2024-25 season, but is returning to support our work in the community.
The Marathon March is a marathon, but instead of running, we walk, talk, and make new friends and connections on the way.
By taking part, you’ll enjoy the unique chance to walk alongside AJ, Brighty, and Fliss, hearing their stories, asking your questions, and helping raise vital funds to support young people across south London.
