Do you have spare devices to keep Croydon connected?

Palace for Life Foundation partners Go2Games, Croydon Council, Croydon Commitment and Croydon Voluntary Action are working to find IT devices for families in need across Croydon to allow children to fully engage in education.

Palace for Life Foundation partners and company of PlayMaker, Craig Constantinides, Go2Games are looking for donations of computing equipment like android phones, tablets, webcams and laptops. Go2Games have teamed up with Croydon Commitment, Croydon Voluntary Action and Croydon Council.

In their combined research among schools in Croydon they established an alarming level of inaccessibility to the internet among respondents. They found that over 380 families have no access to the internet or IT devices and over 320 more families that have limited internet access.

The government is now advising children to access online learning to support their school education. However, in Croydon we have a number of families who do not meet the threshold for state support.

If you are able to support this wonderful initiative, then you just need to follow three simple steps:

  1. Restore the device to factory settings.
  2. Sanitise the device.
  3. Drop it off or post it in.

You can drop devices off at The Volunteer Centre at Cenrale Shopping Centre, Croydon, CR0 1TY or at CVA Resource Centre at 82 London Road, Croydon, CR0 2TB. Alternately, you can post items to Go2Games with the following address:
