DS Eagles win Palace For All Commitment Award
Palace for Life Foundation's DS Eagles were presented with the Palace For All Commitment Award for 2019/20 at Selhurst Park by Palace CEO Phil Alexander.
Palace for Life Foundation’s DS Eagles were presented the Palace For All Commitment Award for 2019/20 at Selhurst Park by Crystal Palace CEO Phil Alexander during the Crystal Palace vs Watford match. The team were invited along as part of Crystal Palace F.C.’s Level the Playing Field matchday. The team were given a day to remember as they took in the full match experience, meeting some of the players and getting out on the pitch at half-time.
Their coach, Jermain-Antonio Lutchman, said of the day: “The DS Eagles team have been working really hard this year and I’m really pleased they’ve been given this recognition. The players were all delighted to be presented with the award and to get out onto the pitch at half time. It’s an experience I’m delighted they’ve all gotten.”
The team has been together for five years, training weekly at Monks Hill Sports Centre and taking part in friendly matches and tournaments against other clubs. Sessions are based around football skills and small matches, but are also vital in helping players to develop their social and communication skills, as well as motor skills such as agility and coordination. Earlier this season, the team were lucky enough to have an entire session lead by Palace manager, Roy Hodgson.
