PAN Disability Team play their first away match

Our adult Elite PAN Disability Team played their first away 11-a-side match against local Sutton United FC.

Our Adult Pan Disability football team and their coach Richard Amponsah had their first experience of an away 11-a-side match over the Easter weekend against Sutton United FC.

Coach Richard Amponsah told us how the game went:

“We entered Gander Green Lane with great anticipation and excitement about their second 11 aside match. The players showed great application especially in the first half. They were under a bit of pressure but weathered the storm together and grew into the game. They started to take control and deservedly took the lead when Robert chipped the keeper from outside the box. 1-0 CPFC at half time.

We made some half time changes and so did Sutton, who fielded a stronger side in the second half. They scored 5 in quick succession. However our team did not let their heads drop and battled back with goals from Tobi and Lee, after great work from David to assist both.

All in all, despite the result, the players had a wonderful day and want to invite Sutton down to Selhurst for another game.”

Our Adult Pan Disability team have weekly invite only training sessions at the Selhurst Sports Arena. To attend these you need to be recommended by a Foundation coach at one of our mid-week football sessions at either the Waddon or Thornton Heath Leisure Centres.
