Actor, writer, producer and avid Palace fan Jim Piddock is launching his new memoir ‘Caught with My Pants Down and other tales from a life in Hollywood’, at the Book Seller Crow in Crystal Palace on Thursday 28th April, where he will be telling stories of his hilarious and turbulent life through the world of showbiz, as well as his involvement with Crystal Palace F.C.

Jim has been on our screens for a number of years, appearing in Lethal Weapon 2, Independence Day, The Prestige, Friends, Austin Powers and several Christopher Guest films, including Best in Show and A Mighty Wind. On top of this, he’s also a lifelong Palace fan and supporter of the Palace for Life Foundation.

To launch his memoir, Jim will be sitting down with comedian, presenter and Palace supporter Kevin Day on Thursday with Palace and book fans alike, to chat all about his journey from a small village in England to the heady heights of the Hollywood hills, revealing what really goes on behind the scenes in the entertainment industry.

Beyond his life in showbiz, Jim is well known for his involvement with Crystal Palace F.C., particularly for helping save the club from bankruptcy by founding the Crystal Palace Supporters’ Trust in 1999. Jim is a long-term supporter for the Palace for Life Foundation, and will be donating 25% of book sales to the Foundation – another 25% will be donated to BAFTA LA and the remaining proceeds will go to charity to help Ukrainian refugees.

The Palace for Life Foundation would like to extend a huge thank you to Jim for helping us transform young south London lives. To buy tickets for his book launch, taking place on Thursday 28th April 7pm to 9Pm at Book Seller Crow, 50 Westow Street, Crystal Palace, London, SE19 3AF.
