Aziz Ziriat: In our thoughts

We are profoundly sad that our friend and colleague, Aziz Ziriat, remains missing in the Dolomites.

Aziz has been an integral part of our team, serving as Head of Community Engagement for a year and a half. He has always worked tirelessly to engage young  south Londoners in free sporting activities to help improve their mental and physical health as well as to keep them out of trouble.  He has a real passion to make a difference; with a lot of his work focusing on supporting the local refugee community alongside growing our Asian community engagement work.

Aziz has not only been incredibly impactful in his role, but also a kind, compassionate and generous individual who brought positivity and warmth to everyone he has worked with.  He is an extremely loved colleague and friend at Palace for Life, having created close relationships with those at Palace and throughout the local community.

The news of Aziz’s disappearance has left us all shocked and heartbroken, and he is deeply missed by all of us here at Palace.

We would like to thank the football and wider community for rallying around Aziz’s family and friends as well as our own colleagues.

Our thoughts and deepest sympathies are with Aziz and Sam’s families and loved ones at this difficult time.

In tribute, over the coming days we will be celebrating the work that Aziz and his department have undertaken across south London.
