Palace for Life launch Games Night for local teenagers

Palace for Life is launching a new gaming Premier League Kicks Session, every Friday night in Sutton.

Palace for Life Foundation is launching a brand-new, weekly Games Night to offer 12 to 18-year-olds a safe place to meet friends and play video games. Taking place in Sutton every Friday night as part of the Premier League Kicks programme (PL Kicks), the Games Night will be the first session of its kind run by Palace for Life.

The innovative session gives young people the chance to play a variety of games from AAA titles to online multiplayers with friends and in competitions. All sessions are free and run from 5pm to 7pm and can be found at Belong Gaming Arena, Unit 6, Level 2, Times Square Shopping Centre SM1 1LF.

Palace for Life Senior Community Development Coordinator, Jamie Broughton, said “We are delighted to be launching this new PL Kicks session. We are trying to be more participant-led in the sessions that we offer and this is a perfect example of that. The Belong Gaming Arena is an excellent facility for people to take on games from FIFA to Fortnite.”

Belong Gaming Arenas offer a safe space for young people to get together and play video games on custom high-powered gaming PCs, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 consoles and HyperX peripherals available so every game and gamer is catered for.

The Foundation’s PL Kicks programme uses the power of football and other sports to create safer, stronger and more respectful communities by developing young people’s potential. The programme aims to engage young people between the ages of 11-24 in a range of constructive activities, to divert them away from crime and anti-social behaviour. PL Kicks works closely with the local authority which includes the Metropolitan Police and Youth Offending Team. Additionally, local community organisations help establish safe, supportive and educational activities.
