Maxence Lacroix spreads festive cheer at Palace for Life Christmas Grotto
Palace centre-back Maxence Lacroix joined children and families at our third annual Christmas Grotto, helping see in the festive season while supporting those who need it most.
On the 16th of December, Palace defender Maxence Lacroix, alongside 74 South London children from two partner schools, visited our third Christmas Grotto as part of our work supporting young South Londoners during the festive period.
Maxence got stuck in with calling the numbers for bingo, playing pin the carrot on the snowman as well as giving Santa a helping hand in giving out presents!

After the tradition began in 2022, the Grotto was something that we couldn’t resist holding every year.
A big reason for that is that some local families continue to be deeply affected by the cost of living crisis and cannot afford to provide a special Christmas for their children. Every child who attends the Grotto receive a present and a £20 ALDI voucher to help with the big Christmas shop.

This forms part of our wider work supporting more than 18,000 young people each year and we can’t wait to continue our work in 2026 and beyond.
