Take on the Captain Tom 100
On 6 April 2020, Captain Tom Moore set out round his garden to thank our NHS heroes.
Captain Tom inspired the nation by sharing his hope for brighter days as he walked 100 laps of his garden, hoping to raise a small amount to help those on the frontline. His simple message ‘Tomorrow will be a good day’ touched hearts and brought light and comfort to many during the pandemic.
One hundred laps later, he’d raised an incredible £38.9 million for the NHS Covid-19 appeal.
Help us to ensure his legacy lives on and take part in Captain Tom 100, a challenge for everybody, anywhere and anytime.
With what would have been Captain Tom’s 101st birthday falling on 30th April 2021, it’s the perfect occasion to honour Captain Tom’s achievements, whilst supporting Palace for Life Foundation.

Now it’s over to you to build on what Captain Tom Moore started. Everyone is invited to take on a challenge around the number 100 anytime and anywhere over Captain Tom’s birthday weekend, all in the name of raising money for Palace for Life – it’s simple!
Think up your 100 challenge. It can be anything you like – from doing 100 kick-ups to scoring 100 penalties or baking 100 red and blue cakes!

We need you
All funds raised from the event will support Palace for Life’s work in the community through investment into solution-focused projects, tackling some of the biggest challenges facing our community today including social isolation and health inequalities.
The Foundation has been working hard to adapt their services to support the local community during the COVID-19 pandemic. This includes Palace for Life coaches supporting primary schools to help the children of key workers, online mentoring for the most vulnerable young people, and the creation of The Palace Kitchen, which prepared 20,000 nutritious meals for people in need in 2020.
However, there are many more people in need of support and for many months to come as the impact of Covid-19 continues to impact our communities and our people, affecting both their physical and mental health.
