Young People

Using the badge of Crystal Palace FC as the hook, our objective is to engage and inspire young people to believe in themselves. We do this by combining sport and physical activity with one to one personal development and mentoring provided by top quality coaches and youth workers.

Acknowledged as having some of the best programmes of any Premier or Football League Club in the country, the success of our work depends on the support of a wide range of partners including the Police, Schools, local authorities/councils and housing associations, youth offending teams and of course local communities.

As a measure of recent success the Palace for Life Foundation team have just received an award for Best Community Scheme at the 2015 Football Business Awards. Our contribution to our surrounding communities, specifically our local young people, has been recognized as one of the most comprehensive and far-reaching schemes across London.

We have big ambitions for the future, specifically in our home borough of Croydon, where we have established a new network of like-minded organisations, which all shares the same interest in the development and nourishment of our younger communities.

Our Croydon partnership will have a particular focus on engaging vulnerable young people deemed to be ‘at-risk’ in the area and providing a support system of mentors to raise aspirations and broaden the horizons of these groups.

The Foundation is considered to be among the leaders in the ‘Sport for Social Change’ sector – in no department is this truer than with our young people!
