Active Adults

Programmes to inspire adults to get active, fit and overcome problems like obesity, low self-esteem and confidence, whilst reducing the risk of debilitating diseases.

Active Eagles Programme runs across Bromley, Croydon and Sutton and aims to increase the number of inactive individuals engaged in regular sport and physical activity. This programme encourages adults to adopt a lifelong healthy lifestyle and targets health outcomes such as improving blood pressure, sugar levels and management of weight etc.

Walking Football is very relaxed and is suitable for any skill level; it’s a walking version of our favourite game! By playing just 1 hour a week for 3 months you will cover as much 30 miles & burn 4,200 calories! We currently have four sessions.

Silver Fit Thursday’s takes place at the Crystal Palace National Sports Centre, 10.30 – 12 noon. Participants have the choice of taking part in Tai Chi, Nordic Walking, Walking Football, Table Tennis and Walking Netball. Before and after the physical activity sessions you can have a cup of tea and socialise with other participants.

VETS Football is for players who want to turn up and play a game of football; we encourage participants to bring their friends along or come solo and meet some new fellow vets.

MAN v FAT League is a 14 week league is for men with a BMI of 27.5 who want to play football and lose weight. This league takes place at Selhurst Astro every Tuesday. To sign up click the Croydon, Crystal Palace League: https://www.manvfatfootball.org/Home/Registration

Fitter Fans is a free male only 12 week weight management programmes includes interactive and quick informal workshops on healthy eating, alcohol awareness, sugar consumption, weight management & lifestyle change guidance. You can be a part of support network and take part in activities such as football, box fit and circuits.

Move it, Lose it – Free, female only 12 week weight management programmes includes interactive and quick informal workshops on healthy eating, mindfulness, sugar consumption, weight management & lifestyle change guidance. You can be a part of a support network and take part in activities such as Pilates, Zumba, Clubbercise, Boxercise and loads more.

Extra Time clubs are for individuals aged 50+ who want to socialise over a cup of tea and take part in relaxed activities such as table tennis, seated exercises, Nintendo WII Fit, dominos and many more.

Forever Fit – social wellbeing is at the forefront of this physical activity session with the café being open for participants to access free tea and coffee. This free session offers the participants the option to choose the activity of their choice e.g. Zumba Gold, Pilates, Yoga, Circuits, Chair Base activities, etc.

Dementia Sessions are free sessions are specifically for adults that have been diagnosed with dementia. Within the session the participants will do physical activity focusing on their bilateral movement and cognitive stimulation whilst taking part in reminisce sessions around sport, childhood and music. Throughout the session there is free
tea and coffee available.

Beginners Cycling and running sessions will be starting soon.
